Specimen #001 | "White Wolf"

> Description

Specimen #001, or informally also called "White Wolf", are canine-like creatures with white fur and a grey underbelly. The variant is the very first stable latex compound created by the Research and Studies Department, and has therefor been the most well-documented specimen so far. Being the very first specimen, lead to many side effects commonly known with prototype drugs within the pharmaceutical industry. Its research however has also been the stepping stone to setting hope and certainty for the human species, and has been the blueprint for any new latex specimens created.

Behaviour

> Social structure

Specimen #001's social structure consists on a tribe-like structure, formed of 4 members. Nonetheless, they do not hold a leader and instead work in a equality basis, that means the tribe members all commonly cooperate together and do not operate within a hierarchy. Due to this, #001 will often face disputes with other tribe members, and may result in fights over objects and/or behavior by another tribe member.

Specimen #001 is highly dependent on survival instincts and would often behave irrationally and unpredictably. Due to this, #001 is incapable of learning complex theories such as Mathematics, and they are only capable of learning simple patterns and logic thru heavy repetition.

Thanks to their strong survival instincts, Specimen #001 is a highly aware specimen, often looking out for each other wherever they are, and will often keep atleast one tribe member to look out for the others. Additionally, #001 is highly sensitive to any unexpected movement and is quick to jump back and gets agitated easily, leading to potentially hostile behavior towards whoever startled it.

Additionally, Specimen #001 possess a greater ability to hear due to their larger ears. #001 is able to pick up any sound multiple rooms away from them, and as a result may be more sensitive to sharp and sudden sounds, possibly startling it and its tribe members resulting in a defensive response or hiding.Not only that, but Specimen #001 has a exceptional ability to run much faster than a human, and for longer aswell. Their endurance resulted in #001 behaving generally more energetic as they are able to run from one place to another without much exhaustion.

> Interactions with other species

Specimen #001 is a paranoid being, as it gets startled easily and gets stressed quickly. This would result in it behaving particularly scared to whatever is unknown to it. Especially if faced with other specimens. Due to its natural fear, it would not dare to come close to whatever is in front of it. In fact, it has such a strong natural fear, that even signs of non-hostility is not enough to give it reassurance, that the specimen is not a threat. And would still throw punches if the foreign specimen pushes them too much against a corner or comes closer than what they are comfortable with.

However, when faced with a human, Specimen #001 will swiftly attempt to infect the human as soon as it can, thanks to its strong biological urge to do so. Nonetheless if a human wears a hazmat suit, it may see the human as potentially another foreign specimen, or it may just confuse the specimen entirely.

Ecology

> Diet

Unlike almost all living beings, Specimen #001 can survive without any food at all, as the physical necessity has ceased to exist. However, the DNA determining its natural instincts of eating to survive has not went away and managed to persist. Leading to Specimen #001 still requiring food to ease the feeling of hunger.

Moreover, Specimen #001 is carnivorous and only enjoys meat, this results in #001 struggling to eat "human food" such as candy, milkshakes or coffee, as they disassociate them from food, and would inspect it or observe it instead of trying to eat it. And even fruits would rarely be eaten, only if it is very desperate and has not eaten for a longer period of time.

> Habitat

Surprisingly, Specimen #001 is comfortable in their own chamber, and is pretty happy to remain at a place that they are most familiar with. Due to containment procedures, the specimen is also pretty unaware of different environments. However what can be said is that #001 would rather seek refuge in its containment chamber, but also wouldn't be too afraid to explore, especially if accompanied by its tribe.
