Specimen 103, or Tabby Cats, are easily distinguishable by their small size and unique coloration. Their darker brown stripes contrast heavily with their lighter tan bodies, alongside their white neck and underbelly fur. They are easily considered one of the weakest specimens housed by the corporation, due to their extremely slow speed and heavy vulnerability to melee attacks. One of the only benefits they have going for them is their ability to see very clearly in the dark, alongside a strong sense of smell and keen hearing.
Tabby Cats are solitary specimens, and do not seek socialization very often. However, they do not mind each other's presence very much, and will be content enough to sit near each other in silence. So long as their personal space is respected, they usually have no issues with being near other 103 instances.
It is not impossible for them to form bonds with each other, but this is a rare occurrence. Even when bonded, their natural laziness may prevent them from doing any sort of favors for each other, in spite of the fact that the very same laziness may often bring them to request such things.
Tabby Cats are not particularly intelligent specimens, and they cannot understand English outside of very simple phrases and words. They can be taught to understand some simple English, but they will not bother to put any energy into learning the language outside of very simple and common words.
While Tabbies are known for their incredibly lazy nature, they very rarely experience random bursts of extremely high energy. During these periods, they oftentimes become extremely hyper and playful, which usually manifests in running around within their containment and playing with any objects that may have been left with them. They may even try to get other 103 instances to play with them, but these efforts are usually fruitless, unless the other instance happens to also be experiencing a high energy moment.
Like all other specimens, Tabby Cats have instincts to infect humans. These instincts are not quite as strong with them as some others, but this is likely due to how weak their bodies are, alongside their constant state of low energy. Should the perfect opportunity present itself, though, they will take their chance to infect a human.
Tabby Cats are extremely wary of most other specimens, and prefer to stay far away from them. They are slightly less afraid of Hypno Cats, due to their similarities, but they are still extremely cautious of other species.
If they are approached by a larger or stronger specimen, Tabbies will automatically begin looking for ways to escape the situation. They are absolutely terrified of Squid Dogs, Tiger Sharks, Crystal Wolves, and Dark Dragons.
Tabby Cats are omnivorous, and do not tend to prefer any specific types of food. They will simply eat anything that is given to them, so long as it does not smell like it could be contaminated or poisonous. Curiously, 103 specimens have an affinity for caffeinated drinks, and will always choose them over any kind of actual food, when offered.
The Specimen 103 chamber is located at the start of U1 in CTZ, which makes sense, given their extremely low risk nature. The room itself has a lot of space, and Tabbies are often granted the luxury of entertainment by a large ball that is designed to look akin to a ball of yarn. More often than not, however, Tabbies will be found laying around in whatever spot they find to be the most comfortable. They have no preference as to where they like to spend their time within their containment.
