Tigers, or also known as Specimen 012, are vibrant orange furred creatures with white neck and underbelly fur, along with their iconic black stripes running along their bodies. Tigers are known for not only their quite majestic and powerful appearance, but also for their quite aggressive and independent, yet dominant behavior. Their claws are easily visible, even if they are sheathed and not actively being used.
Tigers are naturally solitary creatures, they will avoid interacting with each other at all costs. They enjoy independence and tend to show a general dislike in sharing anything, no matter if it is food or territory, they would rather fight to keep something for themself than share it with anyone else.
They have little to no need for socialization, with most of their interactions between each other being through violence, verbal or physical. Given that their containment is quite small, they fight very frequently, be it over territory, food, or even just because they are stressed and need a way to get that frustration out.
Every 012 specimen wants to claim a territory for themselves, and once they do, they will defend it quite viciously. Anything that enters their territory will be given one single warning, and if they do not comply, they will either chase the intruder away, or they will maul the other specimen in order to forcefully remove them. If they are particularly upset, be it by the encounter or external factors, they may kill their victim instead of just removing them from the territory.
While an instance of 012 may be able to pick up on what certain English words may mean through observation, they do not have an inherent ability to speak or even understand the language. They may have the physical capability to learn English, they are likely to ignore or attack those that try to teach it to them. Humans are inferior to them, and they do not wish to speak their inferior language.
Tigers are easily provoked, and will not hesitate to attack if they feel even remotely threatened. Being talked down on also elicits an extremely violent reaction, and they will pummel anyone that dares to speak poorly of them without a second thought. They only time they will be found hesitating is if their opponent is clearly stronger than they are, but they will still fight back with verbal remarks.
Much like the other specimens housed within the facility, Tigers seek to infect humans. If they see a chance to do so, they will take the chance without question. So long as they believe they can win a fight with their victim, they will take their opportunity to spread without any hesitation.
Tigers are incredibly hostile to all other kinds of specimens. They have no particular rivalries, simply because they hate everything else. If they are disturbed by an individual of another species, they will not hesitate to rough them up and chase them away.
Tigers have a very strong hunting instinct, be it for food reasons, or because they are simply that bored with their containment. They may also initiate a hunt due to craving a release for stress or other negative emotions. They will only target specimens that they deem weaker than themselves, or possibly ones that would be on par with them if they feel confident with their chances of getting the element of surprise.
They will also hunt down any humans in their enclosure, and will prioritize them over everything else that may be within their range. They will go out of their way to attack a human, even if there is an incredibly weak, injured specimen nearby.
By preference and biology, Tigers are an entirely carnivorous species. They will refuse to eat any other kind of food, no matter how desperate they are. They will likely even prefer to hunt down a fresh meal, instead of taking something that was given to them. Consuming anything that is not meat or latex flesh will make them sick, but in most scenarios, it will not kill them, unless a lot of it is eaten.
Despite their incredibly hostile and dangerous nature, Tigers are housed within U1 of CTZ. Their enclosure is a relatively large, yet extremely empty and barren room. They will often prefer to stay in the shadows where they are less visible, and often become frustrated with the fact that there is nowhere good for them to hide within their containment.
