Fire Foxes, or 045s, are a canid specimen resembling the appearance of a bipedal fox. Their pelt is bright red with a slightly lighter underbelly. They have excellent hearing, thanks to their large and noticeable ears laid on top of their head. Fire Foxes hold a much shorter stature compared to many other specimens, compared around the same height of both Hypno and Tabby Cats. One of their most known characteristics are their complete intolerance to disinfectant properties, covering them extremely vulnerable to such chemicals. They share an intense mutual hatred towards Snow Leopards.
Fire Foxes are a highly social species that are often known for their fiery and short temper. Conversely, they are egregiously energetic, and will shamelessly express that. These canids also have a social structure that expands to packing, however, these packs are limited to only 5 members. Unlike other species, Fire Foxes do not have a designated leader for their groups. These packs aren't formally made; in fact, they are haphazardly formed, as Fire Foxes instinctively band together because of their social nature.
Fire Foxes within these packs do defend each other, but aren't loyal enough to sacrifice themselves for the sake of anyone else. Especially when they are faced with disinfectant - they will disperse and value their own life instead of others.
045s are exceptionally endurant "athletes", just barely rivaling Tiger Sharks - they almost never tire out. They can participate in a wide plethora of vigorous and even physical-grueling activities without showing symptoms of exhaustion, fatigue, or stress. This pertains to their hyperactive ability, as they are commonly seen tirelessly pacing around in their chamber if they haven't been subject to any activities.
Like other specimens, Fire Foxes actively seek the chance to infect humans. When given the opportunity to, they will jump at the chance to infect a human. This species has also been known to sadistically "play" with their victims before infection, either hurting the human needlessly, scaring them, or even both. It becomes worse if there's a Fire Fox pack but not enough humans - Fire Foxes will fight each other to be able to infect a human, or even race towards them. There are, however, have been situations where there are a sufficient amount of subjects, or other Fire Foxes in the pack have already had their nourishment. This proceeds to the entire pack toying with their victims, until their packmates have fully gotten their fill.
Their reckless behavior leads them into shoving themselves in perilous situations just to infect a human, even when faced with numerous threats. As long as it isn't disinfectant, they will not hesitate to lunge for their prey while taking some damage. Like aforementioned, they'll retreat into a safer place of their enclosure if any dangerous disinfectant chemicals are presented to them.
Because of their naturally conflictive behavior, Fire Foxes rarely form grudges against each other. Fights often break out between their own kin, but they will not hold it against each other for long periods of time.
Fire Foxes cannot understand English at all unless they or the respective human has been given a translator. The species may be intelligent enough to be able to distinguish significantly different-sounding words from each other and associate them with a meaning, but it won't go further than that.
Fire Foxes are mischievous bastards - and they will shamelessly express that towards humans and even other species. They play pranks, tricks, anything they can think of onto those who are unfortunate enough to be the victim of their tomfoolery. Even if their victims start to get visibly agitated, Fire Foxes are relentless beings and will not stop until they get bored. They are not territorial anywhere and will accept anybody in their chamber - so long as they play along with their fun, sadistic "games".
On the other hand, Fire Foxes share a mutual rivalry with Snow Leopards. They absolutely loathe their kind and will take any chance to humiliate, threaten, or even harm any instance of the species. Instead of trying to force Snow Leopards away, Fire Foxes will heave the opportunity to cruelly abuse the leopard for as long as possible.
Fire Foxes are carnivorous creatures with a diverse diet. They will eat most foods - as long as it is meat, or has a sufficient amount of meat in them. The one exception is that Fire Foxes do not like fish at all; which doesn't exactly have a dangerous effect on them, but it is most likely because of its taste.
A haphazardly put together enclosure in the form of a pit and two rooms. There are catwalks that are strung above the chamber, which provides personnel with a clear view on the species. A ladder is connected to the catwalks and are the chief way of exiting and entering the inner-chamber. The low height of the catwalks make it easy for Fire Foxes to climb up to the upper levels, which the species often does because of their hyperactive nature. The red slob of puddles in the center are significantly heated, dispensing a comfortable basking area for Fire Foxes.
