Specimen 247, otherwise known as the Squid Dog, is an enormous specimen compared to every other species. It has four arms protruding out of its back, which allows it to efficiently grip diverse surfaces and objects. This specimen sports incredible, super-human regeneration and durability and is able to tank all kinds of different weaponry without even flinching. However, this extraordinary power comes with a drawback: Squid Dogs have a much larger, heavier physique, which makes it terribly physically-taxing to run, sprint, or even walk without problem. Squid Dogs can prove to be a major threat when provoked, due to these powerful traits.
The Squid Dog is a relatively social creature, not making extremely deep bonds but wanting to interact quite often with their own kind. They do not possess any sort of pack mentality, and they do not claim any kind of territories. As far as they seem to be concerned, any place that they step foot into is their territory, and they will act like they own the place, no matter where they are.
247 instances often treat each other with high respect, and are usually friendly with each other. While they may occasionally spar in order to prove their strength, there are rarely any hard feelings after the matter. Even if there is any sort of tension between two individuals, it will very quickly be forgotten and they will once again interact as if nothing happened.
These specimens can be described with the phrase 'all brawn, no brains', as they are not exactly very intelligent. They cannot understand English at all, and any attempts to teach them the language will prove unsuccessful. Translators will be required in order to effectively speak with these giants. However, despite these drawbacks, Squid Dogs will find an interest in participating in various events or puzzles - albeit will probably fail doing so - as long as they are given a tasty motive.
Just like other species, Squid Dogs possess instincts to infect humans. Unless an individual is wearing protective gear and is immune to infection due to it, they will always take their chance. The exception to this rule is if they are bored, and seek entertainment, in which they will opt to terrorize their victim for a while instead. If one of these specimens decides to try and infect a human, there is little to no hope for them, given the raw size and power of these behemoths.
They tend to enjoy showing off their superiority to other specimens, and anyone questioning it will be met with harsh treatment, usually in the form of yelling and screaming, but it can potentially escalate to violence if the lesser specimen is not intimidated into their rightful place. They usually refrain from killing other specimens, even in these scenarios, and prefer to leave them alive after a thorough beating, in order for them to actually learn any kind of lesson.
They are not directly hostile and can even be considered relatively passive, as long as other species play along with their superiority complex. An exception to this behavior is made for 220 specimens, more commonly known as Tiger Sharks. The two species have an extremely intense rivalry, which almost always devolves into fighting. The Squid Dog will likely berate the other specimen first, before they begin to swing. Tiger Sharks, however, may be left alive after this battle, assuming they don't win. They will be sent away in order for them to spread the word of just how much more powerful Squid Dogs are than them. Not that this ever happens, but Squid Dogs like to think that it does.
Squid Dogs are biologically omnivorous, but they will always choose meat based meals, and may even flat out deny other food types if they are not desperate for something to eat. They will go through far more effort in order to get meat instead of anything else, no matter how difficult the task may be. While they can eat most things, they experience something similar to an allergic reaction when consuming grapes and chocolate, which may be enough to take the giant down if too much of these substances are consumed. However, given that these creatures experience a massive appetite, they have the potential to resort to cannibalizing other specimens in order to satisfy their hunger.
Squid Dogs prefer and tend to live in areas with extremely high humidity, or places that have a lot of water. They will happily claim pools, the ocean, marshes, alongside any other area with a large body of water. They are not particularly picky with where they settle down, due to them being at the very top of the food chain wherever they go.
