Specimen #063, nicknamed "Arctic Fox," is a specimen biologically based off arctic foxes (Vulpes lagopus); unlike their biological equivalent, they have slightly pale blue fur along with ice crystalline formations around their bodies. Their ears resemble the ones of a fox, along with a tail, despite that they preserve a humanoid bipedal posture and slightly heightened intelligence.
They were originally created as an antidote to Firefox's hostile nature and were thought to be a more docile fox specimen. Whether they are fit for widespread distribution is not clear yet, however, due to their animal-like behavior and lower intelligence compared to humans.
Arctic foxes are typically solitary creatures and are known to be friendly to most other specimens. However, if a specimen poses a threat or is larger than itself, this friendly behavior will shift into a wary and defensive demeanor; this is due to the survival instincts of the arctic fox. Arctic foxes don't form packs or seek out any sort of company from other instances of their own kind or any other specimens of different types. While Arctic foxes don't interact often with each other, they are friendly when they do so, and they may group up with each other and form small groups called "skulks." These skulks are very rare due to their overall reclusive nature.
Furthermore, the specimen tends to be smarter than their firefox peers, having the ability to recognize patterns and learn to adjust their behavior; they are able to recognize threats and learn to avoid them or remember who was nice to them and be more trusting towards that individual and may be capable of learning a few basic English words.
It will avoid confrontation that it deems as unnecessary as much as it can, preferring to run away to get out of danger; if it is cornered or unable to get away due to injuries or shock, it will attempt to intimidate the threat by punching a nearby wall or ground or suddenly running to the perceived threat before running straight back, pretending to punch their perceived threat.
It also has a strong habit of taking care of its appearance; its crystals would often be polished, and it would give a lot of effort to keep itself clean at all times, going as far as it can to do so. It also tends to be generally stoic; in other words, it prefers to keep its emotions to itself in order to not get shunned by its peers, as emotions are seen as weakness among the Arctic foxes.
Arctic foxes don't explicitly have a rivalry with firefoxes; however, they do tend to not get along well, as firefoxes often are the ones to begin instigating. Arctic foxes, as a result, would see firefoxes as mostly a nuisance rather than an actual threat, due to their belief of superiority and strength over them.
On the other hand, the Arctic fox is willing to cooperate with crystal wolves, not in a sense of being directly friendly to each other; rather, they share their prey, whether it is non-immune humans or plain simple food. They would cooperate with each other to get it, to then distribute it among each other. However, the crystal Wolf would often take the leadership role.
Arctic foxes will take every opportunity to infect non-immune humans and will actively plot, manipulate, and put on a false personality, seeming cooperative and friendly in order to gain trust and gain an opportunity to get to the non-immune human and infect them. When it manages to trick the human, it will smugly laugh at them or boast about how easily they have done so.
Arctic foxes are omnivorous, however they prefer colder food such as fruits and berries and would insist on being given fruits instead of meat, if there is no alternative however, it would eat the meat too, so long it is not too hot.
The Specimen 063 source puddle is housed within U2-B, behind a few high level doors, due to their dangerous nature towards humans, instances would roam around their relatively small containment chamber, analyzing their surroundings.
